The Wild Wellness Vision
"Look Outward to Reflect Inward"
Our Mission
Bringing the benefits of nature journaling to everyone (especially young adults) in our community and garnering support for teen mental health.
Project Wild Wellness is a student-led project born from passion and purpose. Students are usually battling more unique challenges than they are willing to let on. This relatable experience of going through obstacles encouraged the PWW team to prevent the worse from happening. We believe every student deserves a fulfilling and happy life, and that nature therapy — though not often promoted — is a powerful & healing way to help them achieve it.
Nature therapy is, simply put, the act of spending time in the natural environment without distractions from normal life. There are many ways to approach this following your own will, among them are nature journaling/ field-sketching, photography, and written reflections.
PWW is curated by students in high schools who realize the severity of the teen mental health crisis, especially as the pressure of college and future life seeps into the picture. We are actively trying to promote nature therapy & journaling as a method to relieve stress; we host fundraisers in person for teen suicide prevention.
Frequent social media posts on nature journaling prompts and how they relate to student mental health and the art of overcoming challenges.
All are free online & in-person journaling studios. Easy to follow and led by experienced students to inspire reflectio.
Whether you are an arts & crafts person or simply someone passionate and committed to the cause, we welcome you to join us in our journey
We are a group of students unified by a common cause: to ensure all of our peers love their lives. Our team consists of talents from around the nation, creating wellness contents and hosting fundraiser events.
Learn how to love yourself! Try out nature therapy, for once, or twice, or more! Leave your phone in the room (leave the headphones, too) and get outside. Go to your backyard, or a balcony, or a park. Take some photos, draw some pictures of what you see. Let your mind and spirit loose, for once. We promise you won't be disappointed with the results.
Tune in to our activities and events on social media and on our websites. We update our sites frequently to show new things that are happening, which includes fundraisers, new art products, collaborations, and guest speaker events. Anyone is welcomed to join! We also appreciate any kind donation toward the project, since it is 100% led and ran by youths who share a common goal: to heal their generation.
All money collected from fundraisers (thanks to you!) will proceed directly to supporting our project and to the JED Foundation (prevents teen suicide). We are fully committed to the cause, and it is our goal to continue helping youths who are going through obstacles they aren't telling others.
